Dear Friend of the Hyde Park Library,
It is understood that there have been many changes in the community and the library due to the Covid-19 virus these last two years. Thankfully, our library has reopened and will resume limited Saturday hours in March, and programs planned by the staff will slowly return.
I invite you to our 2022 Annual Meeting on Saturday, March 19th at 1 pm. via zoom. Register in advance for this meeting :Hyde Park Friends Annual Meeting 2022.
We are excited to have as our guest, author and historian Louise Knight, to discuss her current research for her book on sisters, Angelina and Sarah Grimké. http://www.louisewknight.com/
The Friends of the Hyde Park Library (FHPL) need new leaders and volunteers for programming and organizational tasks. Two board members are retiring, and we have openings for Associate Directors (non-voting). As a member and supporter of the Friends of the Hyde Park Library, please consider using your talents to lend a hand and serve our community. We are looking for volunteers with time to commit to the organization, energy, technical skills and fresh ideas. If you are interested in taking and ACTIVE part, please reach out to me using the contact information below and plan to attend the Annual Meeting.
Your efforts are needed to continue our book sales, concerts, and to offer other patron requested activities. In the meantime, we ask that you once again renew your membership or make a donation.
Sincerely,
Vicky Gall
