Programs: Adults

The following programs are ongoing activities taking place at the branch library:

Friends Meeting / Currently via Zoom, First Mondays, 6:30pm-7:45pm
Participate with your comments and suggestions! Meetings of the Board of Directors of the Hyde Park Friends are held monthly on the first (usually) Monday to discuss programs and activities, as well as branch needs. Meetings are open to Friends members and the general public, however, only Directors may vote. Meeting location is usually Menino Hall, but we are currently meeting via Zoom. Please email for the Zoom link and to confirm in case of re-scheduling or cancellation.

Ongoing Friends’ Book Sale
Our volunteers select choice books, videos/DVDs and audio cassettes/CDs and make them available in the book cases to right of security gate and before the Periodicals (Fireplace) Room throughout the year. Harcovers, videos/DVDS and audio cassettes/CDs are $1; paperbacks are $.50, and magazines are free. Please pay for your selections at the Collection Box in this shelf area. Additional books are available for free on the table outside Menino Hall opposite the elevator corridor.

Adult Book Discussion Group / Menino Hall, CURRENTLY ON HIATUS
Join our informal group discussing books over coffee (other refreshments welcome!) on the third Tuesday of every month, from 10:30am to 11:30am in Menino Hall. Please call ahead to the branch to check for cancellation or re-scheduling.

Conversation with Friends / Ground Floor Level, CURRENTLY ON HIATUS
Practice speaking English in a relaxed and informal setting.
